DARRELL RAY WILLIAMS

FOREVER 34

Darrell Ray Williams wasn’t just a person you knew—he was someone you felt. He was a devoted father of four incredible kids, a brother to six, a light to his parents, and a best friend to so many. He was the kind of person who had a way of making life brighter, funnier, and just a little bit easier for those around him.

Darrell loved the outdoors, and the outdoors loved him right back. Fishing, hunting, diving, harvesting oysters and clams—these weren’t just hobbies; they were where his spirit came alive. He found peace on the water, joy in the woods, and adventure in every river he kayaked down. But it wasn’t just nature that captured his heart—it was the people he shared it with. He’d joke, laugh, and make silly videos with the kids in his family, creating memories that now feel like treasures.

Darrell was the friend who dropped by unannounced, the family member who texted late at night just to check in, and the guy who always had a laugh or a story to tell. His family remembers him as thoughtful and full of life, a man who could find humor in anything and shared it generously. As one family member so beautifully said:

"Life is not the same with him gone. There are no more late-night texts or drop-in visits, no more silly conversations. I miss hearing him say, ‘Goodbye, I love ya, and I’ll see ya tomorrow. Call me if ya need anything.’ He truly was the most amazing and thoughtful guy. Everyone loved him. He grew up in Skokomish and attended Hood Canal School from kindergarten through eighth grade. After that, he graduated from Choice High School in Shelton.” - his aunt Teresa

Darrell was someone you couldn’t help but love. His kindness, his energy, and his joy were infectious, leaving an mark on everyone who knew him. Now, the world feels just a little dimmer without him in it.

Though he is no longer here, Darrell’s legacy lives on in the hearts of his children, his family, and his friends.
