JACQUELINE BROOKE HENDERSON
FOREVER 37
January 14, 1984 - December 9, 2021
Hagerstown, Maryland
On January 14th, 1984, in the heart of winter, Jacqueline Brooke Henderson was born. The cold may have been bitter, but her arrival lit a fire in the hearts of all who knew her.
Those who loved her remember her as sharp, capable, and unbreakable — a woman who faced life's hardest trials head-on and refused to be defined by them. She was, in every sense of the word, a survivor.
Everyone knew her as Jacki.
To know Jackie. was to witness resilience.
But to her mother, she was so much more than her strength. She was the girl who once cried over a broken snow globe, a moment her mother now holds close, wishing she could go back just to say,
"Don't cry, baby. It was never important. You are."
And if her mother could have one more moment with her, it would simply be to hold her again, just like she did that cold January morning in 1984.
Jacki got to see the beauty of 3,844 sunrises, but heartbreakingly, her final sunset came far too soon. Jacki left this world on December 9th, 2021, leaving behind hearts that will carry her forever.
And to her loved ones: Though Jacki may no longer greet the morning sun, she has not truly gone. She lives on in in her mothers smile, She lives on every time her mother passes a snow globe and thinks of a girl with tears in her eyes, not knowing that she was already the most precious thing in the room.
She was here, that she mattered, and that she always, always will.
